I'm pumped about this. It's taking a huge amount of time - I've taken this week off to get started - but I know it will make me better at communicating this information. I've set a bar that I think exceeds most similar courses - my goal is to give the participants the insights and tools to really design a zero net energy project themselves. Take a look!
Hi Marc,
I'm a huge fan of your work, and the class looks amazing! What design/energy modeling software will you be using?

Thanks, Jesse. I'm going to provide a simplified spreadsheet, that will get folks in the ballpark. Thst of course doesn't preclude people who want to go with PHPP, or RemRate, etc., but I want the participants to have a tool they can use with a short learning curve.

Great work Marc. I've used this blog site to guide me on my own net zero renovation. You have been a great source of information and inspiration.

Thanks so much, Seth - it's good to know it's useful to someone out there in the electronic ether!

Marc,
I'm thinking this is the best place to post my comment. The quality of teaching in your course is amazing, every word choice, how clearly the ideas are outlined, the various calculators are incredible. I'm only on week 2 and I can't believe how much I've learned. I read a ton of blogs, but until you do the math you don't really have any idea of the magnitude of some of these issues - ex. energy use of your car vs. your house, how much heat you can actually get through a window.
I really appreciate it. I didn't want to embarrass you on the ZEH course site. Thank you.
Lucy

The links to this course all dead end. Is it too late to start it or are the links broken?

I'm sorry, Gene. Send me your contact info and I'll put you on the list for the spring course.
